| Happy autumn and happy Workforce Development Month!

This month I am also thinking about the nature of change and how it is the constant that is always shaping our region and our work with employers, partners and individuals. We have created a 3-day intensive experience to help people manage the changes that are occurring within your organizations as well as in your external landscape. The Greater Cincinnati region’s economy crosses state and county lines, and so do its workforce challenges and opportunities. Four workforce investment boards (WIBs), serving Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati–Hamilton County, Southeast Indiana, and Butler–Clermont–Warren Counties, serve as workforce leaders in each of their jurisdictions and provide leadership, coordination, and resources to meet the needs of employers and jobseekers. Together, these WIBs form an interconnected system that ensures workers can access training and careers while employers connect with the talent they need. |

Since the Ohio TechCred program launched in 2019, more than $151,000,000 in reimbursed technical training has been invested in workforce development. The investment and impact of TechCred is significant yet there remains a gap in the number of companies utilizing the program.
There are more than one million organizations registered with the state of Ohio, yet just over 3,500 Ohio organizations have applied to the program. To reduce that gap MAX Technical Training has outlined every aspect of the TechCred program process in this month’s article and they deliver a virtual workshop six times per year to help you understand the program process.
Learn more about how you can use the Ohio TechCred program to invest in your employees by registering for the MAX virtual workshop Ohio TechCred: Preparing to Apply on October 9th. |
