On Friday, March 15, I had the great privilege to join our partners in celebrating the first graduates from the Women of Color in Tech program, made possible by JPMorgan Chase and Grow with Google, in an outstanding ceremony hosted by the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO). From the dynamic speakers who shared insights to graduates about how to succeed in their next chapter to the women and their families celebrating, it was a memorable evening. This great video captured by the Urban League’s team shows what a vibrant and celebratory night we shared!

Launched in November, this initiative provides accelerated coursework for participants utilizing the Grow with Google platform to learn practical skills in six different areas of study including IT Support, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, Project Management, and UX Design.

For employers who are interested in hiring from this diverse and prepared graduate pool or who would like to upskill their existing employees, contact Jessica Wright to join one of our upcoming employer information sessions. In the meantime, you can learn more about the certificates here and consider joining the Google Career Certificates Employer Consortium.

And if you know of individuals who might be interested in exploring this opportunity for their own advancement, please send them to our sign up form, where we will then match them with one of our four incredible partners: Brighton Center, Community Action Agency -Cincinnati/Hamilton County, The Gaskins Foundation, and ULGSO. The partner organizations and their dedicated teams support participants in navigating coursework and other life dimensions to ensure they are able to complete the program. Our next graduation is slated for June.

Join me in congratulating our graduates, their families, our partners, and our funders for this important milestone!
