On January 23, 2026, our Employer Tour Program visited the Workforce Development Center (WDC) at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Attendees received an engaging, wide-ranging tour of the Evendale facility led by Cheryl Brackman, Emily Helmers, and Amy Waldbillig. The visit highlighted how the center connects training directly to employer needs and career pathways in the region.

WDC Course Offerings
The WDC combines modern classrooms and labs, up-to-date workplace tools, real-world simulations, and hands-on instruction from industry professionals. They train more than 2,000 students annually in in-demand areas, including:
- Health Technology
- Industrial Maintenance
- Advanced Manufacturing
- HazMat Rescue & Safety
These programs are designed for quick, employer-relevant upskilling and can be customized to meet organizational training needs. A full list of current courses is available on the Cincinnati State website.

Grants & Scholarships
The WDC offers several grants and scholarship opportunities targeted to specific courses and cohorts. These funds help reduce barriers to training for future and current students. For eligibility details and application instructions, please contact the Workforce Development Center team directly.
Much like our Employer Tours, this first-of-its-kind Partner Tour gave our workforce and employer partners a direct line into how training translates to job-ready skills. Thank you again to Cheryl Brackman, Emily Helmers, Amy Waldbillig, and the entire Cincinnati State team for hosting a thoughtful, informative tour.
