Hiring & Benefits

Pioneer has been employee-owned since December 2018, allowing all eligible employees to become part-owners at no cost to them through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This ESOP provides financial motivation and ownership responsibility, as research consistently shows that employee-owned companies perform better than their non-employee-owned counterparts.

Pioneer is currently hiring for multiple full-time positions at their Mason, OH, location and typically has year-round openings in their manufacturing facility. Shop employees work 10-hour shifts, typically from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Employees work in various weather conditions; however, accommodations are provided in extreme heat and cold. Employees are expected to stand or walk for the duration of their shifts and to lift a minimum of 30 to 60 pounds.

No prior shop experience is required for many of these positions, as Pioneer offers job and safety training to all employees. Pay starts at $17 per hour for entry-level roles with no previous experience. The company also provides co-op opportunities for high school and college students.

Pioneer employees enjoy a variety of benefits, including:

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan
  • Health and Dental Insurance (with 80% paid by employer)
  • Company-paid Long-Term and Short-Term Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) with up to 4% employer match
  • Paid Time Off (PTO), including 10 days and 9 paid holidays in Year One
  • Quarterly bonuses
