Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 22, 2026

This policy explains what information the Workforce Innovation Center collects when you use workforceinnovationcenter.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

The Workforce Innovation Center (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an initiative of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. We help employers in the Cincinnati region build stronger, more inclusive workforces. This policy covers workforceinnovationcenter.com and the forms on it. The Chamber’s own website, cincinnatichamber.com, has its own privacy policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you type. Depending on the form that can include:

  • Your name, job title, company, work email address and phone number (the Contact, Let’s Work Together and WorkOhio Employer Partner forms).
  • Your message to us.
  • Details about your organization, such as industry, number of employees, whether you hire people with skills gained through alternative routes, and your staffing plans (the Gen Z Report download form).
  • Whether you are joining the Community Pledge as an individual or on behalf of an organization, and the date you signed.
  • Which newsletters and interest lists you want to hear from (the Newsletter sign-up form).

Information collected automatically. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of each request. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting. If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records which pages you view, how long you stay, and how you reached the site. See “Cookies and similar technologies” below.

Information from other sources. We do not buy information about visitors. If you contact us on behalf of a company we may look up publicly available information about that company.

How we use your information

  • To answer your questions and follow up on your request to work with us.
  • To send you the report you asked for.
  • To send you newsletters and updates you signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To record and recognize Community Pledge signers.
  • To connect employers with the WorkOhio program.
  • To run, secure and improve this website, including understanding how it is used when you allow analytics cookies.
  • To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these ways:

  • Within the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. The Workforce Innovation Center is part of the Chamber. Form submissions go to Center staff, who are Chamber employees, and newsletter sign-ups are stored in the Chamber’s Salesforce system.
  • Service providers. Companies that run parts of this site for us and may process your information only on our instructions: WP Engine (web hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery, security and the Turnstile bot check on our forms), Salesforce and HubSpot (newsletter and contact management), Google (reCAPTCHA on the Community Pledge form, and Google Analytics when you allow it), and UserWay (the accessibility widget).
  • Content hosted by other companies. Some pages show content that other companies host and control: Vimeo videos, LinkedIn posts and the HubSpot form. When such content loads, that company receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, so it loads only after you accept the matching cookie category. Under some state laws this may count as “sharing” personal information, and you can opt out with the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer. The Workforce and Talent Ecosystem Map is hosted by OnMesh; it sets no cookies and does not track you, so it loads without asking, but OnMesh and its map tile providers do receive your IP address when it draws the map.
  • Legal reasons. If the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of the Chamber, our visitors or others.
  • With your consent. For anything else, we ask first.

Cookies and similar technologies

When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies, or choose by category. Optional cookies and the content that depends on them stay off until you say yes. We keep a record of the choice you make so we can honor and prove it. You can change your mind at any time with the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of every page.

The categories are:

  • Strictly necessary. Always on. The website platform, this consent tool, the UserWay accessibility widget, and the bot protection on our forms (Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA).
  • Functional. Not currently used. If optional features that need these cookies are added, they will load only after you opt in.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It tells us which pages are visited and how the site is used. Google’s Consent Mode is set so that nothing is measured until you opt in.
  • Marketing. Embedded content from platforms that also track people across sites: Vimeo videos, LinkedIn posts and the HubSpot newsletter form. We do not run advertising on this site.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of sharing. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already happened, and strictly necessary cookies stay on because the site cannot work without them.

The cookies we currently use are listed below.

How long we keep information

We keep form submissions and correspondence for as long as we need them to respond to you and to run our programs, and then for the period our record-keeping rules require. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Consent records are kept as evidence of the choices made on this site. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period for security purposes. When information is no longer needed we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of the sharing described above. To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We may need to verify who you are before we act, and we will respond within 45 days. If we need more time we will tell you why and take at most another 45 days.

  • Marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in any message, or contact us.
  • Cookies. Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer.
  • Authorized agents. Someone may make a request for you if they can show they are allowed to. We may still need to confirm your identity with you directly.
  • Appeals. If we decline a request, you can appeal by contacting us with “Privacy Request Appeal” in the subject line. Where the law provides it, you may also contact your state attorney general.
  • No discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Children

This site is for employers and working adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

How we protect information

Traffic to and from this site is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to form submissions is limited to the staff who need it. No website can promise perfect security, so please tell us right away if you think your information has been accessed without permission.

Links to other sites

This site links to other organizations, including partner programs, the Career Board, the Chamber’s own sites and social media. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them. Please read their policies before you share information with them.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant we will also say so on this page for a period of time.
