WorkOhio Southwest Ohio Kickoff - January 21, 2026

(CINCINNATI, Ohio)—Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel traveled to Cincinnati today for the first stop of his statewide WorkOhio Kickoff Tour.

WorkOhio is a new initiative to connect Ohioans with in-demand jobs in their area through personalized support from teams of regional job experts. The program was announced by Lt. Governor Tressel last week.

“There are great opportunities opening up in every corner of Ohio, and Southwest Ohio is no exception,” Lt. Governor Tressel said. “With WorkOhio, we are making it easier for people to start a job search and find great opportunities close to home by connecting them with local experts who know the employers, the industries, and the resources that can help them reach their full potential.”

WorkOhio Job Connector Tour - June 1, 2026

On Jun 1 2026, we had the privilege of welcoming Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel to Cincinnati as part of the statewide WorkOhio Job Connector Tour.

Across the seven regional WorkOhio hubs, the Job Connector Tour is designed to showcase the training providers and available career opportunities that jobseekers can connect to through WorkOhio.

As the WorkOhio Southwest Regional Hub leader, the Workforce Innovation Center partnered with two of the region’s construction industry leaders, O’Rourke Wrecking Company and Skanska, as well as the University of Cincinnati to welcome the Lieutenant Governor for a site visit at the Crosley Tower demolition project. Following the site visit, we were joined by leaders from construction employers across the region, community-based partners, and other key WorkOhio stakeholders for a workforce roundtable with the Lieutenant Governor and his team.
